I had to contemplate posting this, because it goes against what my blog implies. But I love seeing photos of my friends and family, and pretty much anything else that reminds me of home. And, frankly, I like sharing the things that make me happy =)
I actually lucked out with my job contract and am entitled to two trips to NY for catch-up training every year. Coincidentally, I timed it in half year intervals for 2010 since I have to return for the NY Marathon in November (super excited!)
I had a crazy packed schedule for my two weeks.
I flew out 9AM on 6/21 and landed in JFK 3:30PM same day. 2 hours later, I was sitting next to Chris on the couch with an ice cold bottle of Radeberger and Matilda thoroughly confused by my return. We had tickets to see LCD Soundsystem at Terminal 5 – jetlag didn’t really register… the day after, Patricia landed and stayed for the weekend – it was a short visit, but it was great to see her =) She helped us brew beer and we launched a rocket at Fort Greene park!
We also got to see Ian, Gayle, and (super cute) Jessi.
Matt and Heather’s wedding was also quite an event! How do you top a wedding held at Grand Central Station? (I love Heather’s dress!)
Mom and Dad came for a visit =) And we went to Coney Island to revisit (and ride) the Cyclone! It’s still as awesome as I remember it from when I first got on 2 years ago with Chris.
And, of course, no trip is complete without a little Sing Sing . It was so good to see Kelly and Sonia!! Haha… Sonia doesn’t “sing” per se – but damn, can she rap. We also had din din at Takahachi and went to the Gutter right after for a quick round of bowling!
Good Times indeed. Miss everyone so much already.
